  • Higher Secondary (Class XI-XII): ₹1,000 / month (₹12,000 / year)
  • Undergraduate (Arts / Science / Commerce): ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 / month (₹12,000 to ₹18,000 / year)
  • Postgraduate (MA / M.Sc / M.Com): ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 / month (₹24,000 to ₹30,000 / year)
  • UG/PG Professional (Engineering / Medical / Polytechnic): ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 / month (up to ₹60,000 / year)
  • Ph.D. / M.Phil Scholars: ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 / month (up to ₹96,000 / year)

Eligibility Requirements

ResidenceApplicant must be domiciled in West Bengal.
Income LimitAnnual family income must not exceed ₹2,50,000 (Not applicable for Kanyashree K3 applicants).

Additional Eligibility Conditions:

  • Must be pursuing higher education in recognized institutions in West Bengal.
  • Academic mark requirements must be satisfied with no year gap.

Academic Eligibility Breakdown:

School and Undergraduate ApplicantsMinimum 60% marks in the last qualifying examination with no year gap.
Postgraduate Applicants in General EducationMinimum 53% marks in Honours subject at Graduation level with no year gap.
Postgraduate Engineering ApplicantsMinimum 55% marks at Graduation level with no year gap.
Kanyashree K3 ApplicantsMinimum 45% marks at Graduation level in Science / Arts / Commerce with no year gap.

How to Apply

Step 1 — Registration

Applicant completes online registration. After successful registration, a 15-character Applicant ID is generated. The Applicant ID is required for login and future correspondence. Renewal applicants DO NOT need to register again; they can use their previous Applicant ID and Password.

Login using Applicant ID, Password, and Captcha to complete the remaining application details.

Step 3 — Upload Documents

Upload the required supporting documents through the official portal following the required file format and size.

Step 4 — Final Submission

Review the application carefully and click "Submit Application" to complete the application process.

Step 5 — Corrections

After final submission, applicants generally cannot directly edit their application. If modification is required after submission, contact the concerned Head of Institution or SVMCM helpdesk according to official procedure.

Renewal Application Rules

Only applicants whose scholarship was sanctioned in the previous year are eligible to apply for renewal.

Documents Required for Renewal:

  • Marksheet of the last examination in the present course
  • Admission receipt for promotion to the next higher class

Renewal is subject to the applicable academic-performance requirements.

Payment & Direct Benefit Transfer

Scholarship funds are transferred to eligible beneficiaries' bank accounts after the application and documents satisfy the applicable verification and sanction requirements.
