- •Continue education through an eligible educational institution (School, Madrasah, Open-school, College, Vocational, Technical/industrial training).
- •Special provisions exist for eligible girls with disabilities.
K2 — One-Time Grant
Target / Age: 18 to 19 years
- •Applicant must be unmarried.
- •Must be a resident of West Bengal.
- •Meet applicable Kanyashree education / pursuit requirements.
- •Must have a bank account in her name.
K3 — Postgraduate Scholarship
Target / Age: Postgraduate Level (Regular PG Course)
- •Pursuing a regular Postgraduate course in Science, Arts or Commerce.
- •Obtained at least 45% marks in undergraduate degree.
- •Meet applicable SVMCM K3 requirements.
- •There is no family-income ceiling for Kanyashree K3 under current SVMCM guidelines.
K2 ID Exception: Female students pursuing regular postgraduate courses in Science, Arts or Commerce who do NOT have a Kanyashree K2 ID may apply through the applicable Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) category on the SVMCM system where eligible.
Eligibility Requirements
Additional Eligibility Conditions:
- K1 (Aged 13–18): Enrolled in recognized educational institution in Class VIII or above.
- K2 (Aged 18–19): Pursuing higher education / vocational training with an active bank account in her name.
- K3 (Postgraduate): Passed Undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks in Science, Arts, or Commerce (no income limit).

How to Apply
Institutional Application (K1 & K2)
Eligible applicants generally apply through their educational institution. Forms and institutional data processing are handled via the institutional Kanyashree portal.
Verification & Sanction
The application is processed through the Kanyashree system where applicable Government authorities verify, sanction, and approve eligible benefits.
