The scheme provides a repayment holiday during the course period and for one additional year, after which repayment begins according to the applicable loan terms. The maximum 15-year tenure includes this moratorium.

Visit the official portal (wbscc.wb.gov.in) and register as a new student applicant with basic details.
Receive and secure your unique Application ID and password to access the online student dashboard.
Enter personal details, co-borrower information, present course details, and loan amount requested.
Upload scanned copies of photos, signatures, Aadhaar, PAN/undertaking, admission receipt, and course fee structure.
Review all entered information carefully and submit the application online through the portal.
The educational institution verifies academic and admission credentials and forwards it to the Higher Education Department.
Upon departmental approval, the verified application is forwarded to the selected bank branch.
The bank conducts its banking due diligence, verification, and sanctions the loan as per banking norms.
The sanctioned education loan amount is disbursed to the student account / institution as per payment terms.
