Krishak Bandhu (Natun) is a Government of West Bengal agriculture scheme that provides financial assistance to farmers for cultivation purposes. Direct cultivation financial assistance is linked to cultivable landholding. For farmers with 1 acre or more of cultivable land, the assistance is ₹10,000 per year. For farmers with less than 1 acre, assistance is provided on a pro-rata basis, subject to a minimum of ₹4,000 per year.

Benefit Amount:₹2,00,000 One-Time Grant
Under the Krishak Bandhu Death Benefit component, if an eligible farmer dies between the age of 18 and 60 years, the State Government provides a one-time lump-sum grant of ₹2 lakh to the family of the deceased farmer for social-security support.

- Deceased must be an eligible farmer registered under Krishak Bandhu or owning cultivable agricultural land.

Distinct Scheme for Non-Landowning Agricultural Workers
Krishak Bandhu (Natun) should not be confused with the separate Annual Financial Assistance Scheme for Landless Agricultural Labourers. The official Agriculture Department’s landless-labour scheme is specifically for eligible West Bengal resident agricultural labourers who do not own agricultural land and therefore are not covered by Krishak Bandhu (Natun), subject to that separate scheme’s conditions.
