Banglar Bari (Gramin)—also popularly searched as Bangla Awas Yojana or Bangla Bari—is a landmark 100% state-funded rural housing scheme of the Government of West Bengal. Implemented through the Panchayats & Rural Development Department, the scheme provides financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh per eligible family for constructing pucca houses across rural Bengal. First introduced on 17 December 2024 (Phase I targeting 12 lakh families with ₹14,400 crore outlay), the State Government launched Phase II in January 2026 to cover an additional 20 lakh rural families with an allocation of ₹24,000 crore, bringing the combined state investment target to ₹38,400 crore for 32 lakh families.
