Khadya Sathi ("Food for All") is West Bengal's flagship food-security programme launched on 27 January 2016 by the Department of Food & Supplies, Government of West Bengal. The objective of Khadya Sathi is to provide food security and nutritional support to eligible residents through the Public Distribution System (PDS). An e-Ration Card is an individual PDF ration-card document issued by the Food & Supplies Department, Government of West Bengal, having the same rights and privileges as a Digital Ration Card. It can be downloaded digitally, printed on normal paper, shown as a soft copy on a mobile device for applicable ration services, and verified using its QR code / official verification system. e-Ration Card Eligibility: Beneficiaries whose Aadhaar number is linked with their ration card AND Mobile number is linked with their ration card are eligible for the e-Ration Card facility according to official Food & Supplies Department information. New Ration Card & Adding Family Members: A resident of West Bengal who does not have a ration card anywhere in India may apply for inclusion in the eligible beneficiary list through the applicable ration-card application process (subject to Government enquiry and eligibility verification). Existing cardholders can also use official services to add eligible family members, request corrections, or update details. Application Disposal Timeframe: The applicable West Bengal Public Distribution System order provides for ration-card applications to be disposed of within 30 days from the date of application (after necessary enquiry and verification). Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee card issuance.
