Under the relaxed Manabik eligibility criteria introduced from 1 April 2020, the minimum disability requirement was reduced from 50% to 40%, and there is currently no income ceiling for applicants. Manabik Pension is included in West Bengal's Jai Bangla social pension system under the category identifier WCD Manabik. Please note that the state Manabik Pension Scheme is distinct from the Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) under NSAP. Approved beneficiaries receive ₹1,000 per month through the applicable Government pension payment system upon official eligibility verification and sanctioning.
